About

According to a recent Pew poll, only 35% of registered voters who plan to vote for a Democrat in 2008 have ever heard of Dennis Kucinich. Yes, only 35 percent. We want to change that.

Dennis is one of the few genuinely honest and courageous politicians running for president, and yet very few Americans even know his name. This is a disgrace, and it demonstrates the control that the corporate-controlled media exert over our democracy.

The 35 Percenters started with a simple mission: To succeed where the media has failed by informing the public of the views of Dennis Kucinich. We’re not telling you to vote for Dennis, we’re just asking for you to take a few minutes, watch some funny videos, and give him a chance. If you gain a better understanding of what Kucinich stands for and you simply do not agree with his positions, we will still have accomplished our goal. We want nothing more than for the people, not the media or the special interests, to decide who will be president in 2008.

Finally, while we believe that Dennis has the principles and ideas that will best lead America and the world, The 35 Percenters stand for more than just a Kucinich presidency. We are for a more democratic media that airs independent voices of all political stripes, a more open marketplace of ideas, and a more informed and media-literate public. These are the gateways to electing the leaders that will best represent the wonderful diversity of America, and have the courage to both challenge and inspire us to be greater than the sum of our indivudualistic parts.

  1. Hey! Good job gang! Get the word out on the best candidate for “We The People of The United States”. Dennis Kucinich in 2008!

  2. I am considering voting for Dennis in the primary. I like his style. I wish we could expose the other Democrats for what they are. Just politicians and not PUBLIC servants.

  3. I’m so excited to find this site. I voted for Dennis last time and plan to do so again. He’s the only candidate in any party running that talks his Truth. I agree with him and hope to see the American people step up to the plate and make decisions this time that will better our country and our lives.

  4. My heart is with you all the way from way up here!

  5. As an employee of an ABC affiliate, I’m personally embarrassed by ABC News’ handling of this debate. I’ve lost respect for both George Stephenopolous and Mark Halpirin. Big time. I’m given the impression that Mark Halpirin wanted to shape the debate itself, the perception of the debate post facto, and even the direction of the field of candidates.

It would seem you’re not as sneaky or smart as you’d like to think, Mr. Halpirin. Furthermore, it would seem that by attempting to soften the impact of Congressman Kucinich’s performance in the debate you’ve actually helped his candidacy. America loves the underdog. God bless America.

  6. Dennis all the way!

  7. How’d I ever miss you guys? Great site, great ideas.
Don’t ya just love the Internet. We’ll have to guard the internet with our lives cause so sure as the sun sets corporations and right wing greedy bigots would love to control its content as they do all other forms of
    communication.
I’ll be dropping by here daily.
    Thanks!

  8. did anyone happen to catch Larry King live last night with Bill Cosby? After Larry King started prying Cosby about voting about Obama, Cosby said he actually supports Kucinich….and then was immediately cut off and put on commercial break…it was pretty shameful on King’s part. Go Dennis!

  9. in an age when the differneces between the demorcans and republicrats are shrinking faster than the polar ice caps, it is imperrative that Dennis Kucinich’s name (and policies) gets out.
—everyone go forth and speak of our savior—

  10. I came across a website that has an online questionnaire that aligns your priorities with the candidate who’s positions most closely correlate with your own. Kucinich has been the most frequent result among the dozen or so friends who’ve taken it, some of whom have thought Ron Paul was their guy, others who were undecided. You may want to post it.
